Hunger Games Lund Style

Dad bought some bows and arrows so that we'd have something to do over Easter. Colleen and I joked it was the Hunger Games (good book if you haven't read it).
Colleen always had good form - she definitely looked like a natural.
I unfortunately did not get a bulls eye. This was my first time doing this besides in PE with Mr. Rippke and even then, they weren't real bows and arrows.
Clint was the only one who was able to score a bull eye.
Hoff had pretty good form too.
We did target shooting and then we did distance shooting.
I won the first round of distance shooting!
Dad and I going against one another.
Dad kept pretending it was Robin Hood - Colleen was dying here.
 Only a few mishaps :)
Go Evie! She didn't really shoot.
Hoff and I against one another.
 Sister shoot off.
Gracie's was trying to aim - look at her face. Priceless.
Go for the bulls eye Mom!
We also did some blue rock shooting.
Clint was pretty good. If we go into a post apocalyptic world, we will be sending him out to hunt food for us.
This was my first time shooting blue rock - I didn't hit one.

Everyone hit them pretty regularly. Jerry Cummings was at pro level. Colleen even hit one.

Did an Annie Oakley round. I need to practice some more both in gun shooting and archery. Both were fun, but I liked the archery better.

Easter 2012

We decided to dye Easter eggs outside this year - not because its a messy activity, but because it was so nice outside. I have never done this in my 32 years - its always cold and we have to do it indoors.
We didn't do too many, but what we did turned out so pretty. They eventually became our deviled eggs.
The Easter moon. So pretty and orange.
The girls finding their Easter baskets from the Easter bunny!

 Easter 2012 family picture! I love Evie's feet :)
It, of course, was windy for Easter. Sheila helped Evie get her eggs.
 Dad helped Gracie gather eggs.
Sheila made an awesome popcorn bunny.
Grandma made a delicious angel food cake dessert and angel food with strawberries and whipped cream - sooooo yummy!
Mom gave the girls cigarette gum - I think she's trying to start bad habits ;)
Sheila had all sorts of fun activities for the kids. They painted, played a game (egg on a spoon), and made cute bunny Easter pins.
 Group shot of the cousins.
 Evie found an egg!
Gracie was getting pretty good at spotting eggs!
Jeff playing bubbles with the girls - they loved it! Lots of BIG bubbles!
Then they decided gathering lilacs from the neighbors bush was a good idea.
I'm surprised the one side wasn't bare and many as they were bringing back to give to me and Jessica.
They ran and ran. Back and forth.  We had a wonderful Easter!

Princess Wars

Gracie came out of her room all dressed like a princess and said, "Mom, take my picture." So I did.
 She's such a poser.
Then she asked me, "Mom, do you have lipstick?" And so, we came inside to put on lipstick.
Gracie did a pretty good job!
Of course, once Evie seen what we were doing, she had to get in on it. She, on the other hand, was not very good at hitting her lips.
But she had a ton of fun putting it on.
 Then, the princesses went outside....
And somehow, got into a fight with their swords bats.
There was lots of close calls
This was so funny. I was dying laughing.
Evie declared victory.
