Makin Cake Pops!

When Hoff's side comes over for birthdays, I get to be creative and make the cake/dessert. Last year for Gracie's birthday we had the pumpkin roll up thingy and this year she's requested pumpkin pie for her birthday (she likes pumpkin).
Gracie took this picture; excuse my unfinished look. I was decorating a pig.
Then, I noticed she was taking pictures of me. :)
Of course, Evie's birthday theme this year was Old McDonald cause she loves it so much. I girl at work had brought a book full of different things you can make out of these cake pops. So, I wanted to try it out! These are my chicks!
I learned one thing during the process - you can't dye almond bark - FYI. It just clumps together and never thins out no matter  how much you microwave it.  You can get all of your supplies at Walmart! And they are very easy to make - just time consuming. It took Gracie and I 3 hrs to coat them with almond bark and decorate all 42 of them. That is one cake box by the way.
Here are my sheep - they were the hardest and nobody wanted to eat them cause they had too much crunchies. I'd do them differently next time.  That's the beauty of trying something new - you learn!
Gracie had a blast decorating and eating some lots of the candy decorations.
Her and I had a ton of fun making them - talk about using your creative side! We will make these again! And if you want to ...just google cake pops - so easy.

Happy 2nd Birthday Evie Beller!

Hmmmm...I wonder what's in here. I'm sure I'll like it cause every toy I opened I liked and studied.  I didn't even want to open the next present.  Good thing Gracie was by me to push me along and help me open them!
It's pretty good being two. I'm a big girl with lots to talk about. Sometimes I go to the potty! And one thing that hasn't changed is my love for books! Oh and my hair is finally growing!
I'm going to blow these candles out...I wish for the awesome-ist mom, oh wait I already have that. Hehe!
Grandpa and Grandma Hofmeister and I!
Me with my Old McDonald cake! I love Old McDonald!
Mommy, Daddy and I - I love those guys!
And me and Papa and Grandma Jo!  I had such a wonderful birthday with my family! Wonder what I will accomplish this year?

Happy Birthday Mom!

Mom wanted to eat at Roja in Omaha for her birthday and we graciously joined her. This is her reading over my card. Hehe it was funny!
Then we went to Colleen's to finish off Mom's awesome angel food cake from Grandma Lund.  They are arranging the candles carefully!
Aww Mom...you look great for your age! Love you lots!
Hope all your wishes come true and many more to come!

September Randoms

I found this large mushroom and a blog I follow had found one too on her way home from taking the kids to school.  She called it a "toddler" stool instead of a "toad" stool cause it was so large! I thought that was cute.
If these girls could sleep in any weirder positions....butt to butt?
I thought this was a sweet picture even though it involves the bathroom.  They are sharing books while going potty!
I have this week and next week off (work the weekends), so we are going to try to potty train!? She will occasionally tell me she has to poop and usually does, so I think she (we) can do this! Wish me luck!
We were out at Memphis Lake on a nature walk, when I came across this site...there is four locust shells all in a row on this tree - thought it was strange.
Here Gracie is helping Grandma Lund cut and serve the cake she helped frost!  She loves to cook/help!
Here's the praying mantis that I found in my sweet potato vine. They are so gross and cool looking at the same time!
 My sweet Grace!
 My lovely Evie!
When we were little, we would scour the farm and try to find these garden spiders and claim them as our spiders.  I haven't seen one in a LONG time...until the other day.  I had one set up home sweet web in my sweet potato vine! I've been checking in on it (not too closely though) and it must be catching a good amount of bugs cause his round little body keeps getting larger! Yikes!

Go Big Red!

Here's our cute little Husker fans!
Our annual Husker outfit family picture! Thanks Colleen, it turned out great!
The girls started cheerleading with their pom poms.
 Go Evie!
Her interest in this activity did not last long. She just wanted to run around.
Gracie however, had all the moves!  Where did she learn this stuff?
Well, their cheering must've worked....the Huskers did win!

Who's the Fairest of Them All?

Why its Evie, of course.  This girl will not wear pretty things in her hair, but she does like to wear hats and glasses. And it cracks me up!
This is the messiest eater Ever! Here she's devouring a rice krispie bar.  One of her three major food groups - chocolate, milk, and chips!
Her hair has had a growth spurt and I'm loving it! Especially when the sides curl out.
This is my most recent favorite picture of her....she's such a beautiful little girl!

This basket usually holds our blankets, but she threw them out, grabbed a part of the newspaper and was acting like she was reading it! So funny! I think she watches her Dad a little too much!

I guess she watches her Mom too. This was her first attempt at applying mascara! Glad she didn't jab her eye out.
And lastly, we will end with the vampire teeth - thought this was funny. This little girl is the boss around this place.  She lives up to her names meaning...beautiful life! Love ya Evers!

It's A Gracie Kind of a Day

I think this is such a cute picture.  She's got her 6 shooters in her short pockets backwards!
Woah! Watch out. This girl is a serious shooter!
 Awww...I love this girl!
Look at these old friends.  How sweet is this? Gracie love Peg.
I thought this was so funny. Gracie wanted to put Buttercup (her favorite cat) into the baby clothes and come to find out there was a spot for his little tail to poke through! It was cute and we laughed.
And here she is toting all her "kids" around in the wheel barrel.  Such an imagination this kid. She is such a ray of sunshine in our house.
