Spring Day

Swinging away the afternoon; singing nursery rhymes; laughing and smiling.
 Beautiful Gracie.
 Gorgeous Evie.
Gracie had Mommy dig in the window well and we found 4 toads.
 Gracie was in seven heaven.
We showed the toad to Evie and Gracie showed her how to pet it.
The girls studying that poor toad.
Um...I did intervene this one - Evie you are not kissing that toad!
Hoff broke ground on our garden last night with our new tiller - works like a dream!  Can't wait to plant a few things over the weekend!  Welcome spring!  Hope your here to stay for a while!  :)

Hofmeister Family Easter 2011

Gracie, Piper, and Evie running out to find the eggs!
Gracie found most of them.  Evie did ok.
Grandma Hofmeister had animal eggs and it was funny when Evie found the lion one she said, "Lion!" all excitedly.
 Gracie getting an egg.
 Everyone out hunting eggs!
The girls having a dance party!
They had a lot of fun dancing with each other!  We had a good turkey meal to eat - good times!

Gracie holding one of the first eggs.
Evie decorated two eggs and had enough, but she did a good job.
Gracie getting an egg out of the dye. She seems to do everything in her underwear. I forgot how fun this was!
Gracie with her best egg - very cool!
Evie with her best egg - yummy?
All our dyed eggs for the year.
Up close of Gracie's best egg.

Up close of Evie's best egg.
Evie finding eggs the Easter bunny left.
Gracie was so happy!  The Easter Bunny brought her what she wanted - frogs.
 Gracie found a basket.
 Evie going crazy over Easter.
Once she found out there was candy in some of the eggs, this became her permanent spot on the floor.  A real healthy breakfast.

Lund Family Easter 2011

Family Easter picture - it only took 40 takes and even then Gracie's giving a cheesy smile in the best one.
Aunt Sheila helped Evie and Hoff helped Gracie race to get as many Easter eggs as possible. Both girls did pretty good.
 Gracie snagging an egg.
Good job Evie!  You found a blue one!
Hoff and Colleen looking for their Easter bags.  Hoff ended up finding Colleens for her under that tree. Grrrr.
Hoff complaining that I told him "it was over there".  He was just mad that he was one of the last to find his bag. :)  I got to hide the bags and eggs this year and Dad told me I was no longer allowed to hide them cause I did too good of a job.  It sure was a lot of fun hiding them.
All the yummy goodies - popcorn cake, chocolate chip bars, ice cream cake, jello cake, pretzel sticks, rice krispie eggs.  MMMmmmmm.  Supper was also delicious ( I shoulda took a picture).  We had grilled steak (from Werts), hotdogs, baked potatoes, corn, marinated pasta salad, macaroni salad, fruit salad, deviled eggs (of course), jello eggs, garlic bread, I'm sure I'm missing something. But plenty for all and oh so good!  It was great to be around the family and we'll see everyone again shortly for the quick approaching Mother's Day.

Baby Chicks at Grandma Jo's

The kids looking at Mom's baby chicks.  She got red and black ones.
Grandma Jo holding a baby chick for all the kids to pet.  Evie wanted me to hold her - she wasn't interested.
Grandma Jo with Jesus.  One night, the heat lamp got accidentally turned off and 4 little chicks didn't make it through the night.  By some miracle, Jesus came back to life - hence his name. Mom was planting her garden and heard this "peep, peep". There was a chick wondering around.  At first, she thought one hopped the cattle tank they were in, but discovered it was one of the chicks who had died earlier. :)
The kids playing ball outside, it was so nice.
Gracie and Lane looking at Dorothy and Nemo.
Evie with Papa and his new shed.  Kade didn't want to stay for the picture.  It was a good day.
